Advice needed on DIY fix

I've been getting water in my toons 2018 Bennington 24 SLX for the second year in a row. Got the dealer to fix it but it's not that great so here I am, I think I might have to go to the DIY route. I am planning to install drain plugs o get the water out, then do the soapy water and air pressure trick to find those leaks, and patch them with some liquid weld.

so I guess my questions are, where's the best part to drill an what kind of plugs should I use?

For drilling drain plugs, the lowest point at the rear of each pontoon is generally the best spot to ensure you get all the water out when the bow is slightly raised for draining. Make sure you're drilling into the bottom of the tube.

As for plugs, threaded, marine-grade aluminum or brass plugs with a rubber gasket are good choices. Match the plug size to the drill bit you use. You can find these at most marine supply stores.

Your soapy water and air pressure trick is a good way to find those leaks! Just be careful not to over-pressurize the toons.

Water in the toons are super annoying! I agree with @eggsandbacon above but just to add if you find any leaks, try using liquid weld that can work for small pinholes or hairline cracks, especially as a temporary or smaller fix.

I should add that you might need to raise the bow of the boat slightly to ensure all water drains to the stern. Make sure you're not drilling into a baffle or structural support inside
