2024 Sylvan 21' Tritoon Mirage X1 question

Hey everyone, I've got a question about my boat's top speed. I've got a 2024 Sylvan 21' Tritoon Mirage X1 CLZ DH Swingback with a Yamaha 200hp engine, but I just can't seem to get it to hit its full potential.

Here are the details:
With a Yamaha Reliance 15pitch prop, I'm seeing about 22 mph at 5000 RPMs and 27 mph at 6000 RPMs with four people on board. If I'm solo on calm water, I can get up to 25 mph at 5500 RPMs and 29 mph at 6000 RPMs.

I swapped to an 18pitch prop and that got me up to 31 mph at 5800 RPMs when I'm by myself. The motor is currently mounted in the second hole from the bottom.

Any ideas or advice on how I can squeeze more speed out of this thing?

Not that I've tried it but I read somewhere that you can get more out of it by raising the motor a notch or two to reduce drag from the lower unit, but you need to watch for ventilation. hope this helps!

I'd be concerned that 29–31 mph is low for a 200hp on a 21' tritoon, could there be excess drag, waterlogged logs, or incorrect motor height holding you back?

What's your WOT (wide-open throttle) range supposed to be for that 200hp Yamaha? Sounds like you're close, but maybe raising the motor one hole or trying a different prop brand could help, what's your current GPS speed?

I'm not an expert, but you might want to try lowering the motor by one hole to improve water flow. Also, think about using aluminum performance props like the Mercury Bravo or Yamaha Performance, they typically do a lot better than steel props.
