I'm thinking about buying a pontoon. But wants to check first about the legality
I'm in the US, is it required to have a forward gate here if we want to operate a pontoon?

It's highly recommended to have gates and keep them closed while moving to prevent people especially kids from falling overboard. you might not be breaking a specific law by not having a gate there but it's a standard i believe
