Towing a tube on a Princecraft Vectra

Well, I got a Princecraft Vectra after putting it off for a long-time. Now, I came across this thing I want to do, which is to pull a two-person tube using a Y-harness clipped to both pontoons, trailing to the rear ring near the engine. The manual doesn't say much about it so I'm stuck and confused. Anyone here tried this setup? Did it hold up okay?

It really depends on how durable the D rings are, and you could stress them more than you'd think if they're not reinforced for towing, install a dedicated tow bar for better pull and safety

I agree, I know some who upgraded to a dedicated tow bar or pylon for better handling and less strain on the rear ring. Also double-check your ring is reinforced since it's not always meant for heavy pulls.

The critical part is where that Y-harness ultimately attaches to the boat. Ideally, it should go to a dedicated tow bar on your transom, or highly reinforced transom eyes, not just small cleats or a light duty rear ring

I got the same suggestion like the others about the Y-harness and clips.
But just to add, it's better to keep the speed moderate and avoid sharp turns to prevent putting too much stress on the pontoons!
Just be aware that this isn't what the boat was primarily designed for, so you're also doing it at your own risk.
